How do I create a shortcut to a video on Mate 20?

In the Gallery app, I can’t a way to create a home screen shortcut to one of my videos. Can this be done without using a third party app.

I can create a shortcut to a video from the Files app on my Huawei P20. I'm sure it's a similar case on Mate 20 as both are running the latest EMUI 9.0.

Open up the Files app, navigate through, long tap to select a video, and then you can tap the Three-vertical-dot Menu button > Create desktop shortcut.
