Gallery is locked but still accessible from whatsapp on Honor 8?

I’ve locked Gallery with app lock. But, I found that the photos are easily accessible via whatsapp or wechat. It isn’t as secure as I thought of.

Yah, at this moment the design is like this. For better security, you might want to app lock whatsapp and wechat as well.
