Question:
I have lost my Galaxy Note 10 which I had quite a number of notes written in my Samsung Notes app. Now, I’m wondering how I can access them without my samsung phone. Please advise.
Answer:
If you’ve another Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet, that would be the easiest, as all you need is just sign in to the device with your Samsung account, and turn on the Samsung Notes sync option to get all your notes on this particular device.
If you don’t have another Samsung Galaxy phone, but do have a PC running Windows, you can go to the Microsoft store and check whether you can install the Samsung Notes app. You probably have no compatible issue if you’re using a Samsung laptop.
If you’re using a non Samsung laptop, you’ll probably get the “Samsung Notes isn’t compatible with your device” error message. But, the good news is that there’s a way to bypass this issue which I’ve learned from the us.community.samsung.com forum. Here’s how:
- On your PC, access the Microsoft store from a web browser and search for Samsung Notes.
- Instead of clicking Get, click the … (next to Get), and Add to cart. Then, complete the entire checkout process. (In case, you’re worried the app is FREE).
- Next, open the Microsoft Store app and search Samsung Notes. Now, you should see the Install button. If it’s clickable, click it to install. Else, you can click … (next to Install) and then followed by Install on my devices.
- You’ll probably be prompted to pick a device you want to install. Pick your PC and click Install now.
- Once it’s installed, you can launch it and sign in your Samsung account from its settings to have your notes synced to the PC.
I’ve tried the steps above and it works on my Lenovo laptop. If anyone has any other methods to access Samsung Notes on other devices, kindly share them in the comments.

What’s the point of Xiaomi spamming you with ads if you can just turn them off. Samsung music has ads that cannot be disabled.

Brilliant! Just make sure you search for the app in the store after you install it. It did not pop up for me automatically at the top as she said.

I have an alternate solution for those this didn’t work, because this solution didn’t work on my Lenovo Spectre.
1. Log into your microsoft account at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/windows from your smartphone (I am using the Galaxy S10 btw)
2. Search for Samsung Notes app
3. Click “Install on my devices” (this will show only on a different type of OS than Windows)
4. It should come up with your computer and all PCs under your name.
5. (When your PC is on) Check that PC and click “Install now”. If you were already in the Microsoft store on your PC you will see the download at the top.
6. Open Samsung Notes once it’s finished downloading, and log into your Samsung account to sync all your notes.
Hopefully this works for you guys

This is great. Why block it if it can run fine apparently, and if you’re gonna block it, why leave such a loophole to be able to install it? So stupid.

I attempted to install on my HP Laptop, got all the way through step 3 with no issues. At step 4 when I should have been able to choose devices I wanted to install on it still blocked install.
However, when I clicked on the Microsoft store app from the start menu and then clicked on my library the option to install was present.
Install was successful 🙂

An easy and excellent way to access Sunsung Notes without a Samsung phone. Thanks heaps for the tip. Just make sure to relaunch the app once the sync has finished to access your Notes.
